Why Local Artists Matter
At Bandana.com, we wholeheartedly believe in supporting local. That’s why we offer American-made products on our website. By doing so, we are able to help other people by strengthening communities, supporting families and creating jobs!
For these very same reasons, we also promote and support local talents. Local talents are passionate people just like you and me who want to share their gifts to the world!
Whether new or seasoned, they enhance the quality of life in our communities through growth and enjoyment. They fill up our public spaces with beauty, expose our children to a whole new world, and make our lives a lot more creative and innovative.
These talents try to break out to the mainstream so they can reach a bigger audience and nurture their talent, but not everybody succeeds.
That’s why the public should involve themselves on a personal level when it comes to their local talents. With local citizen support, these artists can make an even bigger impact!
Camille K, Philadelphia’s Budding Talent
One such artist that deserves our support is Camille K. a Philadelphia, PA-based musician, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter.
Hooked on music from a very early age, she learned electric guitar beginning at the age of 7.
At that age, most of us were focused on the latest cartoons and hanging out with friends at the playground!
Fast forward a few years and she’s a featured contestant on Season 17 of NBC’s America’s Got Talent.
She also opened up for Jon Anderson of Yes on his 1,000 Hands Tour (with PGRA Philly), and played the iconic Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ, and The Bitter End in NYC.
Her song “I Believe in Miracles” is featured in the upcoming movie “Philly Christmas” to be released during the 2022 holiday season.
She considers her musical influences to be a vast mix of soulful R&B and classic rock. Her vocal styling is sweet and soulful, influenced by classics, and ready for today.
On August 2, 2022, she will be auditioning on America’s Got Talent on the 9th and final audition episode for Season 17!
The show airs at 8PM Eastern, and it would mean the world to her if we could tune in and show her our support.
You can also give her newly released single “Still in Love” a listen. Add it to your playlist or make it a favorite – here’s the link.

How Can We Support Artists Like Camille K
Supporting our local talents doesn’t have to be expensive or complicated.
There’s so much we can do for them that fits our capabilities – in Camille K’s case, it’s as simple as checking out that America’s Got Talent episode.
What matters is that we find ways that work for us to show them our support!
Here are a couple things you can do to support your local talents.
Shop Locally
If you need some music to listen to during your break, or a painting to decorate your room with, why not check out artists in your local community first?
A quick search on eBay might sound convenient, but it might be worth it to look around town and see what the community has to offer.
Attend Local Events
Everybody gets excited when a big musician comes over, or when an international painter puts up a gallery, and that’s completely okay, but don’t forget to support your local artists as well!
Attending one music gig or popping up at their art gallery can mean the world to them.
Share Their Work Online
Social media is one of the quickest, easiest ways to show your support for local artists.
It’s advertising they don’t have to pay for! With a simple like, comment, or share, you help them feel appreciated AND show off to your friends a great artist from your town.
Platforms like Facebook and Instagram are powerful tools. Who knows, they might get their big break from you sharing their post or reel!
Our Takeaway
Supporting your local talents is important, not just for the artists but for your community as well. You’ll be able to show the world what people in your town are really accomplishing, while helping these artists achieve their dreams.
